AFTER success with its local focus since being established in 2004. Trinity Group Sdn Bhd is now ready to expand its wings abroad
In an interview, chief operating officer Kuh Kin Kuang said Trinity is already looking at China and Singapore. “We have already begun talks in China for a residential development located three hours drive from Shanghai and plan to have it ready in the next few years. We plan to enter China first then Singapore.
In expanding abroad, Trinity intends to maintain its local winning strategy. General manager C. Y. Ng said: “As a property developer committed to developing communities, our vision is to actually provide homes to our customers centred around enriching their lives.
“When we plan our development, everything starts and ends with our customers. We actually create our products around the lifestyle aspirations of our customers.”
This was the strategy behind its first project — The Heron Residency— a 290 unit service apartment in Bandar Bukit Puchong launched in 2005 and then 19 Residency in 2008, which features 24 units of three-storey semi-detached homes.
Despite the 2009 recession concerns, Trinity launched the Zest Point — a mixed use development in Puchong — which was sold out within six months.
Ongoing projects include its first luxury condominium development and biggest project by far — The Z residence in Bukit Jalil — Zeva in Seri Kembangan and Latitude@USJ19 in Subang Jaya. All of these units are almost fully sold out.
“We are dedicated towards creating spaces that are innovative as well improve and inspire better lives. Take for instance the Z Residence, which is positioned as an affordable luxury property,” said Kuh.
He explained the group differentiates itself by providing innovative products at affordable prices, “We stress on the value added for our customers.
“For example, we built a RM7 million flyover ramp that improved the connectivity of the area into Zest Point as well as an air conditioned bus stop in front of the development —which was the first ever built in Malaysia.”
Trinity also built a connective road link from a previous dead-end, about 1km from the Z Residence, to improve its connectivity.
With the expansion of the LRT lines, connectivity for Trinity’s development gives its customers even more convenience.
Moving forward, the group plans to move into other states such as Penang and Johor. Kuh said: “We have already acquired a nine acre landbank in the Iskandar region of Johor where we are looking to build another affordable luxurious condominium development”
Ng said the Iskandar project is still in the planning stage and Trinity aims to launch it by the third quarter of next year.
Trinity has also acquired a 3. 5 acre plot in Sungai Besi, three acres in USJ 19, 5 acres in Serdang and 8. 6 acres in Ulu Kelang — all of which are slated for residential purposes, with the exception of a mixed development plan for Ulu Kelang.
The group has set itself a total of RM 1.65 billion in revenue across three years for these projects.
Kuh said: “For the time being, we will concentrate on residential projects and we are also looking into mixed development. We are also looking actively into suitable plots for factory development but that’s a matter of getting the right location.”
